World famous thanks to the Festival, with its art exhibitions, dance and drama shows, concerts and movies, with Spoleto Cinema. The summer Festival Dei Due Mondi is probably one of the most famous international events.

Assisi, Norcia, Todi, Orvieto

ASSISI is celebrated for St. Francis, NORCIA for St. Benedict, in TODI you can admire the amazing temple dedicated to S.Maria della Consolazione, CASCIA is world famous for St. Rita, NARNI will welcome you with its medieval Albornoz fortress, while ORVIETO has many beautiful monuments to offer, among them the Cathedral and St. Patrick’s well. You can also find peace and quiet in different Franciscan hermitages, in S.URBANO, MONTELUCO, GRECCIO which is famous for its dramatic commemoration of the Christian Nativity, as it was done by St. Francis in 1222 AD. You can also visit the Abbey SAN PIETIO IN VALLE or visit the ruins of the old Roman town Carsulae.

Piediluco, Cascata delle Marmore

PIEDILUCO is a delightful lake, with a rowing sports centre; here you can have a boat trip on the lake, and later you can go and visit the wonderful, breathtaking MARMORE WATERFALLS; Europe’s highest waterfall, over 165 meters from the top of the mountain into the River Nera.
